General Manager - The Service Course Girona

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead the team at our Girona flagship store, ensure the smooth operation of all aspects of the business and cultivate a motivating, positive and inclusive team culture and atmosphere.


The role:

  • As the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of The Service Course Girona. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing all aspects of store operations, including sales, inventory, and staffing.
  • Set and own sales targets together with the leadership team and share weekly updates.
  • Creating a positive atmosphere and working environment.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Custom Bikes to drive sales of custom bike projects.
  • Supervising the rental bike fleet and working closely with the Workshop Manager.
  • Ensuring a premium retail experience, overseeing merchandising, and maintaining the store's aesthetic.
  • Handling locational finances and accounting requirements.
  • Conducting staff training, managing rosters, performance reviews, and addressing HR needs.
  • Collaborating with the Travel and Events team to plan and execute events and activations in Girona.
  • Playing a key role in reporting location-based matters to the central management team through weekly meetings.

The ideal candidate:
  • Proven experience in retail and personnel management
  • A strong understanding of the cycling industry and retail operations
  • Deep appreciation for cycling culture, custom bikes, and events
  • Familiarity with Spanish accountancy and taxation requirements
  • Fluent in English and an advanced level of Catalan or Spanish

Part Time roles - The Service Course Nice


Guides and/or support car drivers (May-October 2024)

We are looking for professional, friendly and flexible part time team members to lead and/or assist with the delivery of trips, rides and special events during the summer months.
The ideal candidates:

  • Highly experienced cyclists with professional guiding experience for premium brand or tour operator
  • Good working knowledge of the local area plus basic bike mechanic skills
  • Fluent English and French
  • Please note:
  • We anticipate approximately 6 working days per month between May and October 2024, although this is subject to vary between months and has the potential to be significantly more, depending on demand.

We are looking for professional, friendly and flexible part time team members to help deliver our day to day cafe and shop experience.
The ideal candidates:

  • (Cafe Barista) Passion for specialty coffee and experience working independently within a fast paced cafe environment
  • (Shop Assistant) Passion for cycling culture and good working knowledge of basic bike mechanic skills
  • Fluent English and French
  • Please note:
  • Minimum of 25 hours per week, with potential for additional hours subject to demand
